Just after 6:00 PM this evening, Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester was dispatched to a property in the 50 block of East Market Street, West Chester Borough for an odor investigation.

Crews arrived and found a smoke condition in the basement with elevated carbon monoxide levels.

The incident was upgraded to a building fire alerting the remainder of the WCFD, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and West Whiteland Fire Company.

After investigating further, crews located a electrical fire in a underground transformer in front of the property.

PECO responded and secured the incident which cleared all fire and EMS units.
